    SPECTO Aerospace bv has set on a journey to make its organisation, support and services ready for the future demand & challenges ahead. To support SPECTO’s journey we are looking for a driven Maintenance Engineer to strengthen the technical team in our Lelystad facility.

    You interpret damage by means of inspections, after which repair proposals are written based on official documentation. You are involved in converting, setting up, elaborating and improving work instructions and repair proposals for composite parts and hybrid structures. You maintain contact with OEM parties such as Boeing and Airbus for repair proposals. You also will prepare the FAA-DER & Part-21 Repair Design requests. You are jointly responsible for the organization of the work and you try to bring the engineering team to an ever higher level together.

    Finally, you will be involved in setting up, developing and executing R&D projects, mainly aimed at expanding our scope of activities and developing new repair and inspection techniques. You have a sharp eye for quality, quality improvement and process optimization in everything. Switching quickly between the various business processes and solving ad-hoc issues are the rule rather than the exception.

    Job requirements

    • Successfully completed a Technical College / Bachelor study (Aeronautical engineering, Aviation Engineering or equivalent);
    • Experience with aircraft maintenance and knowledge of Part-145 and/or Part-21 regulations (knowledge can be gained in an operational surrounding and/or repair surrounding);
    • Hands-on experience or knowledge of repair processes, preferably composite components;
    • Experience with project work and related planning;
    • Eager, self starter, analytical and able to be creative (looking at repair & solutions;
    • Willingness and drive to, when needed, hands-on support colleagues on the work floor;
    • You have good communication skills and are able to articulate and propagate your (project) ideas;
    • Excellent command of the English language in word and writing.
